These story-skill sessions are focused on developing your unique voice and crafting a compelling narrative for college essays, personal statements, cover letters, and more. On the technical side, I assist in curating resumes for applications and reviewing grammar, sentence structure, and document organization.

You can participate in these sessions via Zoom, or opt for my e-tutoring services by submitting your document for an e-tutoring session at a slightly reduced cost. For e-tutoring sessions, you will still book a 45-minute time slot and receive a client report form along with the revised document on the scheduled day and time.

Note: For e-tutoring sessions, please send document to hello@thewordgarden.life after booking, along with your name, and what you would like help with. Revisions for e-tutoring will include marginal notes, highlights, and other comments. I will not change any of the text itself. Please submit documents in Microsoft Word or PDF format only. Sessions can be booked no less than a day in advance, as preparation of materials is required!

The goal of these children storytime sessions is to help kids cultivate their word garden through storytelling, enhancing comprehension skills and vocabulary. 

Each session lasts 45 minutes on Zoom, beginning with twenty minutes of engaging storytime. This is followed by a comprehension check and open-ended questions to reinforce learning. In the final five minutes, I’ll connect with parents to discuss what we covered and the progress made. After the session, I’ll provide a client report form that details the activities and insights from our time together. 

I have an extensive collection of stories, fairytales, and folktales from around the globe, and I’m always open to story requests. Once you book a session, I’ll reach out with story options tailored to your child’s interests. If you prefer something different, just let me know! 

For these story-skill sessions, please ensure to book at least a day in advance, as it requires time to prepare the necessary materials for our e-tutoring services.
