Story-skill sessions are focused on developing your unique voice and crafting compelling narratives for college essays, personal statements, cover letters, and class essays. On the technical side, I assist in curating resumes, reviewing grammar, sentence structure, and overall document organization.

You can participate in these sessions via Zoom, or opt for my e-tutoring services at a reduced cost. For e-tutoring sessions, you will still book a one hour time slot and receive feedback along with the revised document at the end of the hour. 

Note: For e-tutoring sessions, please send your document to hello@thewordgarden.life after booking, along with your name, and what you would like help with. Revisions for e-tutoring will include marginal notes, highlights, and other comments. I will not change any of the text itself. Please submit documents in Microsoft Word or PDF format only.

The goal of a children storytime sessions is to help your child cultivate their word garden through storytelling, enhancing comprehension skills, and building vocabulary. 

Each session lasts one hour on Zoom, beginning with a story reading. Length of storytime can vary depending on your child's interest. I'm a firm believer in letting children listen to stories as long as their heart desires!

At the end of the reading I'll follow up with a comprehension check and review new words. Sometimes I'll give your child a word of the week to use in conversation.

After the session, I’ll send a brief summary, listing the activities and insights from our time together. 

I have an extensive collection of stories, fairytales, and folktales from around the world, and I’m always open to story requests. We can also discuss your child's interests in the initial meeting (which is free to book below!)
